Jasmine tea is a unique category of scented tea originating from China, renowned for its captivating aroma and refreshing taste. Our Jasmine tea is made using time-honored methods: a high-quality, roasted green tea (cha ye) from Fujian mountains is layered at night with freshly picked, premium single-petal jasmine blossoms from Hengxian, Guangxi, precisely when their scent is most potent.
The process, called “scenting,” is repeated multiple times (often 3 to 7 cycles). Each night, the tea absorbs the essential oils and fragrance from the fresh flowers, building depth and complexity. After scenting, the spent blossoms are meticulously removed, leaving only their pure essence within the tea leaves.
The brewed liquor is a clear, yellow-green, and the aroma is intensely floral, sweet, and uplifting—potent yet never cloying. The taste offers the best of both worlds: the refreshing, slightly sweet base of green tea is perfectly complemented by the sweet, floral notes of jasmine, resulting in a harmonious and lingering finish. It’s not just a beverage; it’s an aromatic experience.
